Laura Lasuertmer led this discussion back in February. She invites us to listen in and enjoy the conversation:
In mid-February, in that dark time before the light of spring, a group of people gathered virtually to share insights and reflections on the work of Catholic Worker farmers from around the country. About twenty individuals were present, and we heard short presentations from six different Catholic Worker farmers. We then took time for written reflections on the themes that arose from the presentations. We heard about the challenges of transitions, about the coming and going of community, the abundance and relationship with plants and animals, and the ever-present call to live our lives in the pursuit of justice. We laughed a lot and gathered inspiration from the work we are all doing separately - and together - throughout the country. Enjoy the video!
